Bill Williamson, MCSE, CNA, and the owner of wwilliam.com has been using computers ever since he first wrote a program in 'scalp', the pre BASIC language back in the late 60s at Dartmouth College. After time in the U.S. Army, and an MBA at the University of Michigan, Bill took a job with the Telephone Company where they had steady work, decent pay, and better computers. While there he conducted studies and wrote FORTRAN programs related to network provisioning and the cost of providing service. He also served as LAN administrator for the Treasury department, and was instrumental in creating computerized systems to monitor customer receivables, and to track customer deposits for refunding. Bill took early retirement in 1994 and has spent time working as a contract worker and computer consultant for numerous companies including Osram Sylvania, General Electric, Arch Communications, Sorono Laboratories, New England Business Systems, Avid Technology, Deaconess Hospital, Cisco Systems, and Federal Express. Our workshop and computer laboratory is now located in Jefferson, Maine which is central to customers in the midcoast Maine region, and also available to former customers in eastern Mass. Bill travels to most locations, but his son Tad, MCSE, MCT, CSSIP and former telephone employees are able assistants as needed. An occasional ferret also provides perspective and keeps us from becoming too focused. |
